| Abstract | The purpose of this study is to suggest simplified dehumidification performance models of the solution atomization based liquid desiccantsystem. Two indicators were selected to evaluate dehumidification performance: One is the efficiency of the mass transfer area consideringwettability, and the other is the mass transfer coefficient. Based on experimental data, input variables for the multiple polynomial regressionmodel were selected through correlation coefficients and sensitivity analysis. The models for area efficiency and mass transfer coefficientachieved R2 values of 0.99 and 0.97, respectively. Using the proposed two simplified models, dehumidification efficiency can be predictedthrough the effectiveness-NTU model, which can be utilized in the design of the dehumidification unit. |
